Even after getting HD signal ,HD ready TV may not be able to display at full resolution because that depends on the resolution of HD ready screen.HD ready screens has a native resolution of 1366x768 so are able to display images upto 720 with progressive scanning.Even if the input is 1080p it will be downscaled according to screens resolution.Some HD ready screens comes with 480 lines so in that case there will be no difference between HD and SD even if you are getting 1080p signal. HD Ready TVs are also known as 720p HDTV.

FULL HD sets are not only capable of accepting HD signals but also can display this at full resolution.Full HD screens has a native resolution of 1920x1080 so these screens are capable of displaying images which have been scaled up to 1080p .It means you can see images without any resolution loss.Full HD TVs are also known as 1080p HDTV.

You cant really tell the difference between HD Ready TV and Full HD TV if you are having a HDTV smaller than 42 inch.But if you are going for size larger than 42 inch then the real difference comes in picture.Full HD HDTV costs more than HD Ready HDTV of same screen size.
