You might be having Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla Firefox and Opera installed in your PC. Any browser other than Internet Explorer is set as your default browser now you experienced Internet Explorer for a while and want to set it as your default browser.

Default web browser is the browser on your PC which is used by your OS when a browser is required For example shortcuts to web pages or links in your email.

Here is how to Set Internet Explorer as your default web browser

Open Internet Explorer.

Go to Tools menu Select Internet options.

In Internet Options Dialog box Click on Programs tab.

Go to Default Web Browser section at the bottom.

If Internet Explorer is not your default web browser then Make Default button will be active Click it to set Internet Explorer as your Default browser.

You can check "Tell me if internet explorer is not the default web browser" in Default Web Browser.
