How to Set Mozilla Firefox as your default web browser

You might be having Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla Firefox,google Chrome and Opera installed in your PC. At the time of installation you didn't set Firefox as your default browser now you experienced it for a while and want to set it as your default browser.
 
Default web browser is the browser on your PC which is used by your OS when a browser is required For example to open shortcuts to web pages or links in your email.
 
Here is how to Set Mozilla Firefox as your default web browser
 
Open Mozilla Firefox.
 
Go to Tools menu Select Options.
 
in Options Dialog box Click on Advanced tab.
 
Go to System Defaults section at the bottom.
 
Click the Check Now button.
 
If Firefox is not set as your default browser then a message will appear saying "Firefox is not currently set as your default browser. Would you like to make it your default browser?" Click "Yes" and Firefox is your Default browser.
 
If you want to check at the start if Firefox is your default browser then check "Always check to see if Firefox is the default browser on startup" in System Defaults section.
 
The above instructions are written for Firefox version 3.6.3
