C. U. Shah College of Engineering & Technology was established in 1997 by Vardhman Bharti Trust (VBT) to foster faith among students in human values and to improve their psychological competence to enable them to successfully handle challenges of present contemporary society and excel in every aspect of life.

Vardhman Bharti Trust (VBT) established in 1969, as a registered charitable trust has been constantly motivated for the prosperity of rural society through the education. Dedicated industrialist, educationalist and enlightened citizen from Wadhwan city form the core of Management.

The College is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University (GTU), Ahmedabad and Approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, New Delhi. The college offers undergraduate B Tech Courses in various engineering streams.

College is situated at Wadhwan City, Taluka Head Quarter at about 6 kilometers from Surendranagar and is situated on scenic banks of the river Bhogava on Surendranagar - Ahmedabad State Highway and is spread over acres of land and has state of the art infrastructure and basic facilities like Library with thousands of books and journals, Hostels, Workshops, Language Lab, laboratories, computer center, Training and Placement cell , Alumni Association, cafeteria.
