Govt. Engineering College(GECJ), Jhalawar was established in 2007 to establish a unique centre for the promotion of technical education of quality standards—leading to result oriented research in various fields, to sustain existing and future technological innovations towards socio-economic development.

The college is affiliated to the Rajasthan Technical University, Kota, Rajasthan. It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education,(AICTE) Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India.

The college is spread over 5 acres (75 bighas) of land amidst sylvan beauty & pollution free environment situated at Village-Chandloi, Sunel Road, Tehsil- Jhalarapatan, Distt. - Jhalawar,perennial rivers like ‘kalisindh’ and ‘Chandrabhaga’ giving an clarion call to the youths to awaken and step ahead to participate in the area of Engineering and Technology. The College has state of the art infrastructure and all basic facilities like Library, Sports Complex, Lush Green Lawns, Playgrounds, Hostels, Health Services, laboratories, computer center, Placement cell, Alumni Association and cafeteria.
