AIEEE

All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) is a common entrance examination on all India basis for admission to professional and technical programmes in the country.Government of India in 2001 laid down a Three-Exam Scheme for admission to Engineering and Architecture/Planning programmes

  1. JEE, National Level Exam.
  2. AIEEE, National Level Exam.
  3. State Level Engineering Entrance Examinations (SLEEE) for State Level Institutions with an option to join AIEEE.

All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE ) is a national level exam organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for admission to B.E./B.Tech and B.Arch./B. Planning courses in various institutions, namely National Institutes of Technology NITs, IIITs, Deemed Universities, Technical Institutions, Delhi Technological University, Delhi, Private institutions and other Govt. funded Institutions in India.

AIEEE Exam is generally organized in the month of April (Last Sunday) at thousands of centres located in various cities across the country. A centralized online counselling is then organized for filling up the All India seats by the Central Counselling Board for   B.E./B.Tech and B.Arch./B. Planning seats . Some States/Institutes uses AIEEE ranks to fill seats through their own counselling.

AIEEE 2012 Eligibility Criteria:-

  • For Engineering a candidate needs to pass in Class 12th with Physics and Mathematics is compulsory subjects & at least one of the subjects among Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science or Biology.
  • For Architecture Courses Mathematics is compulsory subjects  in class 12th with at least 50% marks aggregate at 10+2 level.

AIEEE Paper Pattern (Subjects, Question Types and Marks) :-

There are two Papers
Paper 1 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects contains    Objective Type Questions with equal weightage to Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics
Paper 2 has three Parts

  • Part I (Mathematics) - Objective Type Questions
  • Part II (Aptitude Test) - Objective Type Questions
  • Part III (Drawing Test) -Questions to test drawing aptitude 

for B.E. / B. Tech. course - Paper 1
for B. Arch / B. Planning. course - paper 2

Last  date  for  registration  (on line)  filling of  Application  Form  31.12.2011 Last date for receipt of confirmation page in the CBSE Office : 05.01.2012 (By Registered/Speed post only)

DATE OF EXAMINATION  April 29, 2012 (for offline examination) May 7th to May 26th, 2012 (online examination)
