The word ‘Spectra’ is plural form of Spectrum which means the distribution of a characteristic of a physical system or phenomenon, especially, the distribution of energy emitted by a radiant source, as by an incandescent body, arranged in order of wavelengths. The term truly suits the motto of the event which aims at providing a platform for budding IT graduates to showcase a wide spectrum of talents in the field of computing and creativity.

We in Damodar College believe in holistic development of every student, so, appropriate emphasis is given to all the aspects like literary, social, cultural and technical. The main purpose behind Spectra is not only bringing hidden talent to the fore but also developing management, organizational and competitive capability in the students. Department of Computer Science (B.C.A.) is organizing the first edition of a state level IT- Extravaganza “Spectra1.0”.

Last but not the least, fun is paramount. The interaction between juniors and seniors, teachers and students improves and we achieve a whole new level of institutional harmony, where all are working together, unveiling the talent, hidden within. In all, Spectra1.0 is a combined package of knowledge, learning and fun, and we hope it will leave positive impression on each and every one who is associated with this event directly or indirectly.
