The Gujarat Technological University (GTU), Ahmedabad, was established in 2007 by the Government of Gujarat to enhance the technical education in the western Indian state of Gujarat. The university is located in L.D College of Engineering Campus, Navarangpura, Ahmedabad.

Several Government aided and private colleges offering technical, science and management education in the state are affiliated to this university. These colleges are spread throughout Gujarat thereby extending the Jurisdiction of the university to the entire state of Gujarat. Thousands of students study in these colleges. Several Engineering, MCA, MBA ME and Pharmacy Colleges are affiliated to GTU. Earlier all these colleges were affiliated to Gujarat University.

The University has well established infrastructure, it is spread over acres. Library of university has large volume of books covering various subjects to cater the need of students in education.
