Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad or JNTU, Hyderabad was established in 1965 as the Nagarjuna Sagar Engineering College, the school was renamed in to JNTU in1972. The university is situated in the heart of the city at Kukatpally and is primarily focused on engineering education in the state.
The university has ‘A’ Grade accreditation by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council).

JNTU is providing quality education for nearly 4 decades and has an intake of more than 1000 students. The territorial jurisdiction of the university covers the areas of Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Medak, Nizamabad, Adilabad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Khammam, Nalgonda and Mahboobnagar districts of Andhra Pradesh State.
This university has been deemed an autonomous one.
