Rajasthan Technical University (RTU), Kota was established in 2006 by the Government of Rajasthan to enhance the technical education in the state of Rajasthan.
The university is located on Kota-Rawatbhata Road in the campus of University College of Engineering, Kota (previously known as Engineering College, Kota).
Several Government aided and private colleges offering technical, science and management education in the state are affiliated to this university. These colleges are spread throughout Rajasthan thereby extending the Jurisdiction of the university to the entire state of Rajasthan. More than 1 lac students study in these colleges.
