windows 2003 server Remote desktop blank screen

I was trying to remote desktop my windows 2003 server from my XP machine but after entering credentilas it shows a blank blue screen. i tried to find solution on other forums but didnt find any satisfactory solution.

I also faced this sort of problem on my antivirus server, it was having almost 500 clients. Its web interface was working properly but RDP was not working.In my case just restarting the server solved the problem.
